In my work I take natural and man made objects I find around me and observe them honestly, capturing their form, colour, texture and patina, highlighting their overlooked beauty.
I spend a lot of time carefully arranging my objects to give them new significance and unexpected relationships, hopefully allowing the viewer to appreciate the subjects beauty in an intimate way, they can then weave their own narrative into the composition.
Watercolour is the perfect medium to capture these moments as it is as light and delicate as the objects themselves.
